Dhruvi Patel, a Computer Information Systems student from the USA, has been crowned Miss India Worldwide 2024, the longest-running Indian pageant outside India. After the crowning ceremony in Edison, New Jersey, Dhruvi shared her excitement: “Winning Miss India Worldwide is such an incredible honour. It’s more than a crown – it represents my heritage, my values, and the opportunity to inspire others on a global scale.”
Along with Dhruvi’s win, Lisa Abdoelhak from Suriname was named the first runner-up, while Malvika Sharma from the Netherlands secured the second runner-up spot.
In the Mrs. category, SuAnn Mouttet from Trinidad and Tobago claimed the title, with Sneha Nambiar and Pawandip Kaur from the United Kingdom taking the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.
The Miss Teen India Worldwide title went to Sierra Suret from Guadeloupe, followed by Shreya Singh from the Netherlands and Shradha Tedjoe from Suriname as the first and second runners-up.
This prestigious beauty pageant, organized by the India Festival Committee, has been running for 31 years, making it the longest-running beauty competition outside India. It is spearheaded by Indian-Americans Neelam and Dharmatma Saran.
Dhruvi's success in pageantry is not new. She won the Miss India New England title last year and was also a contestant in the Miss World America pageant. Dhruvi has expressed her passion for beauty contests from a young age and currently co-manages a company with her siblings.
