'Put your energy in a positive direction,' J&K police appeals to Kashmir youth

Srinagar: On the occasion of New Year, Jammu and Kashmir Police have greeted the people of the Valley on the one hand and appealed to the youth to put their energy in a positive direction. On the eve of New Year 2022, State DGP Dilbagh Singh conveyed his best wishes to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, families of martyrs and all jawans and officers of the Union Territory Police.

He also expressed hope that the New Year will bring peace, harmony and happiness to Jammu and Kashmir. The Jammu and Kashmir Police quoted Dilbagh Singh as saying on Friday evening that "Jammu and Kashmir Police will continue to deal with every challenge with more dedication and valour. We will work to strengthen peace. He expressed hope that the New Year will bring happiness to all. Speaking on the occasion, DGP appealed to the youth to "put your energy in a positive direction and cooperate in nation-building.''

He also requested the confused youth to leave the path of terror and return to their families. Earlier in the afternoon, DGP Dilbagh Singh had submitted a 2021 report card saying that 182 terrorists have been killed by security forces in about 100 operations in the state during the year. Moreover, this is the first time that the number of local terrorists in the Valley has come down to less than 100.
