Lucknow: Seven persons, including six women, were tragically killed in a bolero and a tempo collision near Ashokpur village on Patiyali-Daryabganj road in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. In this horrific road accident, all the people in the tempo lost their lives. These include tempo drivers, 5 women and 2 children. Eight people sitting in the Bolero were injured. The deceased and the injured are residents of the Farrukhabad district.
Expressing grief over the tragedy, CM Yogi Adityanath has conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. He also directed the officials to reach the spot immediately and provide free treatment to the injured. There is an ashram of Bhole Baba in Bahadur Nagar near Patiyali. There is a Satsang here every Tuesday. Seven women and children had come in a tempo from Chirauli Kayamganj Farrukhabad to attend the Satsang. The women on the tempo were returning to their villages after attending the Satsang. While eight persons riding a Bolero from village Pajaba in Farrukhabad were on their way to participate in the Satsang.
As soon as the Bolero and the tempo reached near Ashokpur village in Patiyali, the two collided head-on. Four women, two children and the driver of the tempo died on the spot. While another woman riding a Bolero died after reaching the hospital. Police have called the family members from their village to identify the deceased.
