Kaushambi: The news of a tragic road accident in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh is coming up in the early hours of Wednesday. A truck loaded with sand overturned on the Scorpio at Deviganj intersection under Kadadham Kotwali area around 3:30 pm on Wednesday. In the accident, 8 people present at the Scorpio died tragically at the scene.

Two people have also been injured in this accident, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. All of the Scorpio riders were returning from the wedding ceremony. Police officials, including the District Magistrate of Kaushambi, reached the spot after receiving the information of the accident. The police-administration team arrived on the spot and removed the truck with the help of a crane. On giving information, the District Magistrate has told that this accident happened around 3:30 pm.

It is being told that the truck's tire was torn, causing it to uncontrollably overturn the Scorpio. Eight people have died in the accident while two people have been seriously injured. Those who lost their lives in the accident included 6 women and 2 children from three families. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has condoled the accident.
