Lucknow: An 18-year-old boy was shot dead during celebratory firing at a birthday party in Uttar Pradesh's Auraiya late on Saturday (November 12). This case is from Balmiki Basti of the Sadar Kotwali area. A boy's birthday party was being organised in a house here. At the same time, some youths at the party opened fire. One of the bullets went and hit Dev Kumar in the stomach.
Dev was seriously injured in the firing. The family immediately rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. At the same time, the firing youths escaped from the spot. Superintendent of Police (SP) Charu Nigam, who reached the spot, inspected the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. The family told the police that the cake was being cut in the room below in the birthday house. At the same time, four-five people were drinking alcohol in the upper room. During this, harsh firing was done and a bullet hit Dev Kumar. Hearing the gunshot, the people present there rushed to the spot and took the injured Dev to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The investigation of the case is currently underway.

According to the police, the groom Manish Madheshiya fired harshly with a pistol and his friend lost his life due to the bullet injury. 38-year-old Babulal Yadav was a soldier and the pistol from which the bullet was fired belonged to Babulal.
