Prayagraj: A shocking case has emerged from Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. After accusations of gang-rape of a woman in the Dhumanganj area, the army man was beaten to death by the mob. It is alleged that the army soldier raped the girl along with his friends. When people came to know about the gang rape, they beat the army soldier brutally, he died while going to the hospital in a critical condition.

The deceased's name was Ashutosh Singh and he was posted in the army as a sergeant. According to the news, talks were held with Ashutosh and the girl living in her neighborhood. It is being told that last night Ashutosh took the girl with him to STP Transport Nagar. Ashutosh along with his friends gang-raped the woman. The victim informed the police about the gangrape with her. At the same time, unknown people reached there soon after getting the information of the incident and brutally beat Ashutosh. He died during treatment on Saturday morning.

Ashutosh's family has accused the woman of conspiracy. Family members say that Ashutosh has been killed under the conspiracy. At present, the police has registered a case and started investigating. In view of the tension in the area, a heavy police force has been deployed on the spot.
