Lucknow: A hospital owner in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur has been accused of raping his receptionist by calling her to the cabin at midnight on the pretext of paying her salary. Police have registered a case and started an investigation. The incident took place at New Life Hospital in Chaprambar, Shahpur. The girl, who works as a receptionist in the hospital, says that she was hired on a salary of Rs 8,500. But the salary has not been received for 6 months.
The victim said she had to pay the college fees, so she had been demanding a salary from the operator for several days. The woman said that on the night of August 20, she was on duty at night. Hospital operator Mani Pandey called her to the cabin at 1 am on the pretext of paying her salary. He gave 500 rupees and said that if you needed money, keep it. To this, the victim said, "Sir, what will happen with this?" I have to deposit my fees. When I protested against getting such less money, the operator grabbed my hair and laid me on the table and raped me. I was beaten badly for protesting.
After which the victim reached home and told the whole thing to the family members and lodged a complaint at Shahpur police station. Inspector Shahpur Randhir Mishra said, "On the complaint of the receptionist, a case of rape and assault has been registered against Mani Pandey, the operator of New Life Hospital. The victim is being sent for medical examination.'' After the rape incident, another woman employee has come forward. She has also accused the operator Mani Pandey of molestation. The woman says that Mani had been molesting her for a long time. However, the woman has not lodged a complaint with the police.
