Lucknow: A shocking case has come to light from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, where a woman teacher sat at home and took a very comfortable salary. The matter came to light when the headmaster posted at the school retired. The incident has created a stir in the education department. The case pertains to the primary school Keshopur village in the district.
There is a teacher named Meenakshi posted here for the last two years. She lives with her husband in Lucknow and does not come to school on duty, but sitting at home, she gets her salary and the entire salary credited to her account. The secret came to light when the headmaster posted in the primary school retired on March 31 and had to plead with the basic education officer to call the woman teacher posted to hand over her charge.
When the matter came to light, the woman teacher also took charge from the retired headmaster and the education department woke up to sleep. In this case, basic education officer Chandrashekhar has said that when we got the matter investigated, we came to know that she has been absent for a long time, however, her salary has been continuously withdrawn. It is being told that she had been absent for almost two years. However, we think that Meenakshi's child is small and the schools were closed during the Corona period. Instructions for attendance are issued by the government from time to time. In such a situation, Meenakshi must have been absent for 8 months in total.
