Noida: Despite all the claims of the government and the police administration, the crime cases in Uttar Pradesh are not stopping. The latest case has come to light from Noida in the state. A youth shot dead his father on Tuesday evening on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Noida and then committed suicide.
Giving information in this regard, the police said that the incident took place in the Dankaur police station area and the deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Ashwin Sharma and his father Prabhat Kumar. He was a resident of Rajnagar Extension in Ghaziabad. Police said Ashwin was into the water business, while his father Prabhat worked as a property dealer. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Inspector-in-Charge of Thana Dankaur has informed that after getting the information, the police reached the spot and took the father-son duo to a hospital in Greater Noida where the doctors declared them brought dead.
He said that the family members of the deceased have been informed about the incident. Singh said that the police are ascertaining the reason behind the suicide. He told that the pistol used by the young man to commit the crime is licensed and belonged to his father. Presently the police are investigating the matter.
