Lucknow: A shocking case has been reported from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. A woman with her two daughters jumped in front of a moving goods train at Basharatganj in the district, killing the woman and one of her daughters. Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Raj Kumar Agarwal said Ganga Devi (26), a resident of the Basharatganj area, got into an argument with her husband Brijesh, who was addicted to alcohol, over his drinking habit on Monday.
After which on Monday evening, angry with her husband, Ganga Devi took her two daughters to the railway crossing of the village and jumped in front of a goods train. According to the Additional Superintendent of Police, Ganga Devi and her four-year-old daughter Anshu died on the spot after being hit by the goods train, while another daughter Lalita (one year) was seriously injured. She has been admitted to a private hospital in Bareilly.
Raj Kumar Agarwal further said that Ganga used to have frequent disputes with her husband Brijesh over alcohol. Apart from this, the financial condition of her family was also not good and due to the expenditure of money on alcohol, it became difficult for Ganga to run the household expenses.
