Lucknow: Government and religious leaders are making frequent appeals to stay indoors and not gather in mosques to offer prayers. But in a mosque located in the Bundi police station area of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh, a crowd gathered for the Namaz, when the police team stopped them, the mob attacked the police itself.

In other police station area of the district also, the incident of attacking the police team came to light after stopping the Namaz. In both cases, police have registered a case against a total of 23 people. All the accused have been arrested by filing a case against 23 people for the murderous attack on the constable in Bondi and violating the lockdown rules. Apart from this, during the lockdown in Telianpurwa under Khairighat police station area, on Friday afternoon, the people who came to the Masjid in the mass mosque also attacked the police.

Namazis threw stones on the police. Due to which six policemen including two inspectors were injured. The attackers fled from the spot. The injured have been treated at Shivpur PHC.
