Barabanki: In Uttar Pradesh, 18 people have been tragically killed in a major road accident in Barabanki. The truck collided with a bus parked on the highway. Several people have been injured in the accident. More than four dozen people are said to be injured. Police rushed to the spot after receiving information and are working to rescue the injured. The bus was reportedly parked on the side of the road due to malfunctioning. The Volvo bus, which was on its way from Punjab to Bihar, was packed with passengers. An accident took place on Kalyani River Highway in the Ramsnehighat police station area.

 

 

ADG, Lucknow Zone Satya Narayan Sabat said that the bus driver had asked the passengers to rest while repairing the bus. Soon after, a truck collided with the bus, resulting in casualties and injuries. A rescue operation is being carried out to recover the bodies trapped under the bus. He said the first priority is to provide treatment to the injured. An inquiry has been ordered into the accident. At first glance, the fault is apparent to the truck driver.

According to eyewitnesses, the bus was parked on the side of the road and some repair work was going on. Some people got down from the bus, but most of the people were inside the bus. The speeding truck went out of control and hit the bus directly. The accident was so severe that it was heard for about a km. There was an outcry on the spot after the incident. No one understood what had happened. After about 15 minutes, a police train number 100 arrived and relief work was started. After about 30 minutes, the rescue team members arrived and the evacuation of those trapped in the bus started. Some bodies were stuck in the bus in such a way that they had to struggle hard to eliminate them.
