Lucknow: A shocking incident took place in the Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday (December 18) night. A man entered the police post here and shot at the constable on duty. However, the bullet passed the soldier's back after hitting a cupboard. On the orders of the SSP, the police arrested both the accused after an encounter within a few hours. Police shot both of them in the legs.

According to the report, miscreants entered a police post in Bareilly on Friday and shot a constable. The miscreants escaped very easily while firing. As soon as the incident was reported, there was a stir in the police department. A heavy police force including Superintendent of Police City Rahul Bhati, and CO City Shweta Yadav reached the spot and started investigating the matter. In fact, at around 7.30 pm on Friday evening, two bike-borne miscreants reached the Naktia police post located on National Highway 24 (NH 24) of the Cantt police station area. Entering the police post, he asked constable Vishal Sharma sitting there about a sub-inspector and then opened fire. At the same time, the picture of the miscreants sitting on the bike was recorded in the camera installed outside the police post.

Police said the accused were drunk. First, one of the miscreants came inside the police station and started asking the constable about a sub-inspector. The cop identified that he was drunk and asked the miscreant to go out. In the meantime, the miscreant took out a country-made pistol and opened fire. The bullet touched the soldier and went into the iron almirah. After that, he immediately fled from there. The police are currently investigating this entire matter.
