School children to get money in lieu of uniforms, big decision taken in Yogi cabinet

Lucknow: The state CM Yogi Adityanath government has taken several major decisions on Friday night ahead of the proposed Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in 2022. It said the government will now transfer money directly to their parents' bank accounts to eliminate the problem of free dress distribution to primary school students every year. Shoe-stocking money along with uniforms will also be given to the account.

In the academic year 2021-22, free uniforms, sweaters, shoe stockings and school bags for classes I to VIII in pre-secondary schools with upper primary, council, primary schools and non-government aided primary will be given to the parents of the students through PFMS. A proposal in this regard was prepared by the Basic Education Council, which has also received Cabinet approval.

In another important decision, the Yogi Cabinet has said that Bharat Dynamic Limited will be given land in Jhansi. The 183-hectare land will be given in the Defence Corridor. India works in dynamic, Akash missile manufacturing. On the other hand, 80 hectares of land will also be given free of cost to the DRDO. the DRDO developing the BrahMos missile will be given land at Sarojini Nagar in Lucknow.
