The Yogi Government has soon announced the launch of a special drive to vaccinate all prisoners languishing in state jails. It is learned that as soon as the government decides in this case, the draft for the SOP will be started. 1 in a total of 74 jails including central jails of up. According to a health ministry official, "jailed prisoners come to sensitive groups because they live close to each other in the barracks and sometimes it is almost impossible to follow social dissing. On Thursday, 10 inmates of Kanpur jail have undergone a covid-19 test positive. Earlier in January, 117 prisoners and several jail officers were found to be corona test positive in the township. Such cases were also reported in the jails of Siddharthnagar, Agra, and Jhansi. However, amid the lockdown last year, several inmates were sent home on parole to reduce the number of inmates inside the prison.

Sources on the SOP said, "The local administration is going to organize vaccination camps in jail premises. Also, in view of the apprehension of any adverse incident after vaccination, ambulances, etc. are going to be prepared to take the inmates to the hospital. However, in less than one percent of the cases so far, people have spoken of some kind of adverse impact."

The officers have also spoken that the data of the prisoners is already available with the state Home Ministry and district authorities. Therefore, all prisoners are going to be vaccinated in 2 days on the basis of number. After all arrangements, prisoners can be vaccinated next week. An official from the state Home Ministry said, "It is a logical idea to vaccinate prisoners in a single case when a single case comes to the fore to find out all the people who have come in contact with the patient. "
