Lucknow: A youth accused of making indecent comments on a woman policeman in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow attacked the policeman and beheaded him with an iron rod. Police have arrested the youth. According to reports, the woman police constable posted at Thana Aliganj in Lucknow was also posted on pink mobile duty. The accused youth Prabhat Singh was standing outside a house numbered E-1/16 Aliganj at the time of duty.

When the woman constable resisted and stopped scooty and asked why, the youth stabbed the woman constable with an iron rod, causing her to fall from the scooty. However, another person present at the spot informed the police on 112, after which the police who arrived rushed the woman to the hospital and arrested the youth. A case has been registered against the youth in connection with indecent comments from a woman constable and assault. Further action is underway.

According to ACP Aliganj Akhilesh Singh, the youth made indecent comments on the woman police and obstructed government work in which a case has been registered under relevant sections. Further action is on as the youth has been attacked with an iron rod and obstructed government work, the accused has been arrested by registering FIRs in cases including Sections 333,353, 354 of the IPC.
