Lucknow: The case of love jihad has come to light in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Here a young man hiding his religious identity trapped a minor Hindu girl. Then the accused kidnapped her at knifepoint and forcibly converted her and then took her to Haryana and raped her repeatedly while forcefully marrying her. After tracing the location of the victim's mobile phone, the Lucknow police reached Haryana, recovered the girl, and arrested the accused. The police have started an investigation by registering a case against the accused under the sections of conversion, love jihad, kidnapping, and child sexual abuse.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Salman. Accused Salman trapped the girl by telling her his name Shyam. He first befriended and during this time the accused took the girl away with him by threatening her. During this, the accused forcibly married the girl by making her a Muslim at knifepoint and repeatedly raped her after taking her to Haryana. In Lucknow, Para Inspector Dadhibal Tiwari has informed that on the basis of the complaint of the family members, a missing report was registered earlier. After this, the police traced the girl's mobile number and found out that the location was in Haryana. After which the police team was sent to Haryana. From where the girl has been recovered after arresting the accused.
According to the police, the accused Salman had carried out the incident on 13 November. The accused protested against running away from the house, but Salman threatened to kill her family members and forcibly took her away. At the same time, when the girl did not reach home till the next morning, the relatives lodged a missing complaint with the police. On tracing the mobile number, it was found that the location of both the victim and the accused is in Haryana. After this, the police arrested the accused Salman while rescuing the girl. Police said that based on the statement of the victim girl, a case has been registered against accused Salman under the sections of forced conversion, marriage, and rape.
Police have informed that the accused was in touch with a friend of the victim girl. This friend introduced the victim to the accused. During this, the accused Salman told his name as Shyam. After this, the accused trapped the victim talking sweetly. Wherein when the girl got trapped, then the accused Salman executed this incident. According to Lucknow's ADCP Chiranjeev Nath Sinha, the police have produced the accused in the court, from where he has been sent to jail for 14 days of judicial custody.
