Fake: 3 arrested in Gurugram for using fake doc to take bank loans

GURUGRAM: Three guys were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly using counterfeit and fake documents to obtain loans from several banks in Gurugram totaling between Rs. 3 and 5 lakhs.

Nitin, Sachin Gupta, and Aman Gupta, alias Ashu, were named as the accused.

The police said, the men's possessions included a laptop, two colour printers, 15 Aadhaar cards, 24 PAN cards, 10 Sarv Haryana Gramin Bank debit cards, a bank stamp, 24 sim cards, and duplicates of the fraudulent documents.

According to the police, a joint operation between the criminal branch in Palam Vihar and the Haryana Chief Minister's Flying Squad raided the Shyam Communications and Electronics facility in Gurugram's Gandhi Colony, where the alleged fraud was being carried out.

The three accused claim that they obtained loans totaling between Rs 3 and Rs 5 lakhs from several banks, including the Sarv Haryana Gramin Bank debit card, and used them to obtain SIM cards based on false documentation.

"The culprits were running the alleged scam for the past year. The accused used to pay only two-three installments of the loan and thereafter did not pay the loan. an investigating official said that they have taken several loans based on such tactic.

However, the police are investigating the matter to know about the involvement of other people who assisted them in the loan process.
