Lucknow: Gaay Bachaao Yatra was taken out today by the Congress in Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh. However, the yatra was halted before reaching where many activists including the President of the Congress state unit were taken into custody. The 'Gaay Seva Yatra' was taken out in Lalitpur by Congress leaders on Saturday on the issue of death of cows in Gaushalas. In which Congress state unit president Ajay Kumar Lallu attended. The yatra was supposed to reach the Tuvan temple from Delwara but was stopped earlier.
Several Congressmen, including Ajay Lallu, were taken into custody by the police. Dozens of leaders, including former minister Pradeep Jain, have been arrested by the police in Jhansi before the Congress's Gaay Bachao-Kisan Bachao Padyatra on Saturday. Arrested leaders have been brought to the police line in Jhansi. A large number of police forces have also been deployed in the police line. Padayatra includes National Secretary Rohit Chaudhary, Bajirao Khade along with former ministers in Jhansi Pradeep Jain, Deepak Shivhare, Yuvraj Singh Yadav, Prince Katiyar, Girja Shankar Rai, Gaurav Jain, Samyak Jain, Faizan Khan, Pradum Thakur, Malik Patel, Arimardan Singh, Ramkumar Yadav, Anand Rajput, Ankur Mishra, Rohit Thakur was taken into custody and brought to the police line.
City magistrate Salil Patel, CO city Rajesh Kumar Singh are also present in the police line. Earlier, former Union Minister Pradeep Jain had said that in Saujana Gaushala of Lalitpur district, cows are dying in agony. Most of the gaushalas of this state belong to this state.
