Lucknow: A case of a massive explosion in a house in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya has come to light, due to which a youth named Imran has been injured. The explosion was so loud that its sound was heard from far away. The name of the landlord is said to be Samiullah. Police have recovered explosives that made firecrackers from the spot. The incident took place on Thursday (July 7, 2022) in the Haringtonganj area.

DSP Milkipur Satyendra Bhushan Tiwari informed that "The case is of Semra village under Thana Inayatnagar. At around 9:45 p.m., police received a report of a cylinder explosion in a house. Police reached the spot and investigated and found that it was Samiullah's house. His son Imran suffered injuries on his face and shoulder. The injured have been sent to the hospital for treatment.'' The DSP further said, "From the spot, police have recovered items related to making crackers and fireworks. A field unit, fire unit and local police were present at the spot. Another necessary legal action is being taken in the case.''

According to media reports, the spot is about half a km away from the police outpost. One house collapsed in the explosion. The police have recovered nine sacks of explosives from the spot. It is being claimed that the family of the injured Imran works to make fireworks. The tools for making fireworks were also recovered from him. Imran is called by the name Kallu by the locals. His family members say that the accident took place while filling the water in the mud pit. According to another report, people of the surrounding village were scared by the blast. A huge crowd gathered at the spot after the blast. There is a lot of talk in the area about how the explosion happened. Police are currently trying to find out the exact cause of the blast.
