Lucknow: Swami Prasad Maurya has taken over the Samajwadi Party on Friday after resigning as a minister in the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh for five years. While going to the SP, he launched a scathing attack on the BJP and said he would overthrow the BJP from the state. But Swami Prasad's daughter and BJP MP from Badaun Sanghamitra Maurya has claimed that the BJP government is going to be formed again in UP.

Talking to the media, BJP MP from Badaun Lok Sabha seat Sanghmitra Maurya said that Samajwadi Party (SP) will definitely be in a contest but in UP the government will be formed by BJP. She further said that by the way, it will be decided by the people. The people will vote for whomever they think is right and they will also get an invitation to form the government in the state. She said that if the party asks me to campaign against my father and brother, I will definitely go and refuse if I don't have to.

Reacting to his father's statement that the BJP will be reduced to 45, she said his claim is because he has always played politics for Dalits, backward and exploited. It is because of working on the ground that they have a mass base and wherever they go, their mass base goes with them.
