Lucknow: The proposed Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) 2019 has been postponed on 22 December due to violent protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in UP. It is being told that the examination has been postponed due to disrupted internet services in many parts of the state. Director of Basic Education and Secretary Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi said that the next date of the examination will be informed as soon as possible.

It is noteworthy that 1986 centers were created in the entire state for the UPPET exam 2019, in which more than 16 lakh candidates were to participate. He told that 1063 centers were set up for the primary level examination in 1986 and the upper primary level exam. The admit cards of the candidates have been uploaded on December 12, but many candidates have not been able to remove the admit cards yet due to some reason. Due to which the examination has been postponed. In which 16 lakh 56 thousand 338 candidates have applied, including primary level and upper primary level.

In which maximum examination centers are in Prayagraj and least in Kaushambi district. The postponed examination was to be held in the first shift from 10 to 12.30 pm on 22 December and the upper primary level examination in the second shift from 2.30 to 5 pm, which is currently deferred till the next order. Due to which there is relief news for the TET candidates.
