Uttarakhand: On Tuesday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami commended the people of Uttarakhand and health staff for vaccinating 100 percent of the state's eligible population with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. "I am glad to say that Uttarakhand is one of the few states in the country where 100 percent first-dose vaccination has been achieved, owing to the state's conscientious citizens and devoted health staff," Dhami said in a tweet in Hindi.

Dhami handed out gifts to winners of the COVID-19 immunisation drive's fortunate draw yesterday. From October 18 to November 2, the Uttarkhand district government organised a massive immunisation programme. Those who took the second dosage within this time frame were placed into the prize drawing.

Uttrakhand has given the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination to its whole eligible population earlier in October.

Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine is recommended by the USCDC for children aged 5 to 11.
