Dehradun: Uttarakhand's capital Dehradun witnessed a severe sky-high disaster on Tuesday. The situation worsened due to 7 hours of continuous rain here. The water came to the streets. Rainwater entered people's houses. In the Santala Devi area, clouds burst twice, making things even more uncontrollable. However, the buzz was that no one lost their lives during this time.

It may be recalled that the MET department (IMD) had already issued a heavy rain alert in Uttarakhand till August 26. Even before that, 7 hours of continuous rain submerged the roads in Dehradun. Not only water but also mud and large stones entered the houses. The situation was such that in many places where large trains were often plying, SDRF had to rescue people by resorting to a rope to cross the roads.

In Uttarakhand, rivers are in spate due to heavy rains. Rivers also started flowing on the streets in posh areas like IT Park in Dehradun. The water started flowing on the roads at such a high speed that moving vehicles stopped. Many vehicles got stuck on the road during this time. SDRF also had to come to cross the road. It was from the IT park that SDRF rescued more than 12 people.
