Dehradun: Mobile courts are going to be started in 5 districts of Uttarakhand for disposal of pending cases at the earliest. On the occasion of Independence Day on 15th August, these mobile vans will be flagged off from the premises of Uttarakhand high court. In fact, geographical conditions in the hilly districts of Uttarakhand delay justice for the people.

It also takes years for victims to get justice because of the obstacles and difficulties in reaching court. At the initiative of High Court Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan for early justice, 5 mobile e-court operations are being launched in 5 districts.  The mobile e-court van will be fully equipped with facilities. It will also have everything from courtrooms to printers, computers, the internet and other essential devices. The case can be disposed of on the spot if possible in the e-court.

State that the responsibility of running these mobile e-courts will be the responsibility of the district judge of those districts. It is the district judge who will decide which remote areas and cases the mobile van should be sent for disposal.
