He was later captured in Munikirati. Under the National Disaster Act and Section 188, a case was filed against 12 people, including the MLA, at Munikirati police station and later released on personal bond.

Amanmani is an MLA from the Nautanwa assembly in Maharajganj district. According to the officials, embroiled with indecency, according to information, Aman Mani Tripathi was going to Badrinath along with his colleagues in three vehicles on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, in Gauchar, he was stopped at the barrier. Police station in-charge of Karnprayag, Girish Chandra Sharma said that when he was asked about the permission, he got entangled with the officers and started committing indecency.

With this, forcibly started going towards Karnprayag, on the information of the authorities, the police stopped the three vehicles in Karnprayag. Here too, they kept getting entangled with the police, but the police heard them once and returned them unscathed. Meanwhile, SDM Vaibhav Gupta and police station in-charge Girish Chandra Sharma accused MLA Aman Mani Tripathi and his associates of indecency with the police, administration as well as the doctor. According to DGP Ashok Kumar (Crime) MLA Aman Mani was arrested in Munikirati area. A case has been registered against 12 people including MLA under Section 188 and National Disaster Act. Later, he and his companions were released on personal bond.
