Government seeks suggestions through online survey to start closed industries after lockdown

The government will formulate a strategy to bring back the production in Micro Small and Medium (MSME) and other large industries which are closed due to lockdown in the state. The industry department has started an online survey and sought suggestions from entrepreneurs on the resumption of production after the lockdown and the upcoming problems. Based on this, the proposal will be sent to the Central and State Government. Due to the lockdown, more than 60 thousand MSMEs and big industries are closed in the state.

Only the industries which manufacture essential commodities and medical equipment have been allowed to start production in the government lockdown. The number of such industries in the state is more than 900, which are producing essential commodities. The industries department is surveying which industries can start production after the lockdown. The portal has sought suggestions from the MSME entrepreneurs of the state. The biggest problems facing the industries are labour, working capital, raw material, market demand.

Along with this, suggestions have been made by CII, PhD Chamber of Commerce Industry, Industry Association of Uttarakhand. Employment is also being affected due to the shutdown of the industry. Due to the lockdown, there are many problems for MSME industries to start production. Along with this, a survey is being done to remove them. After taking suggestions from entrepreneurs, an action plan can be sent to the central and state government.
