Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government is currently on alert mode in view of the possible third wave of the corona. Due to this, vigilance has also been increased along the border after the cancellation of Kanwar Yatra. In fact, the Government does not want any devotee to reach Haridwar for the Kanwar Yatra starting from July 25 after the ban. To ensure this, security has now been beefed up at all borders in Uttarakhand adjoining other States. Let me tell you that the SSP of Haridwar has issued an order not to allow Kanwaris to enter the district.

Recently, he said, "There is a provision for 14 days of quarantine for those coming outside. He also said, "If anyone tries to enter the district, his vehicle will be confiscated, while action will be taken against the violator under the Disaster Management Act.'' On the other hand, on the government's decision, officials say, "Police and intelligence teams will be deployed at about a dozen check posts to prevent Kanwaris from entering the city. Additional forces will also be deployed and barricaded on other routes from neighboring UP to Haridwar.''
