After the implementation of these new rules, where now the passengers will have to pay the fare at the rate of about 1.80 rupees per km for traveling in the ordinary buses of roadways in the mountains. The rate of rental in Jahan Maidan has been around Rs 1.26 per km. At the same time, it is also being said that the fare rates in roadways buses will be implemented only after two-three days. The reason is that along with adding a 20 percent surcharge to the basic rates of the transport corporation, the new rental rates have to be updated in the software. The fare of private buses has been increased to Rs 1.05 in the ground and Rs 1.50 on the mountain.

STA Secretary Sanat Kumar Singh said that as per the new orders, the fare for the permit buses being operated for Chardham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib Yatra also increased. A fare of Rs 55 per km has been imposed for buses with a capacity of 20 seats, Rs 50 per km for 21 to 30 seats and Rs 60 per km for 31 to 45 seats. In addition to this fare, waiting fee is being charged for the entire train from 3500 to 7000 rupees per day.

For trains priced less than six lakhs, the fare will be Rs 14 and 16 per km in the plains, Rs 16 and 18 per km in the hilly areas for ordinary and air-conditioned services. Whereas for a luxury taxi worth more than Rs 20 lakh, the fare will be Rs 35 in the plains and Rs 40 per km in the mountainous areas.
