Dehradun: The pace of monsoon is slowly dimming. The weather department has forecast moderate to light rainfall in six cities including Dehradun. At present, no warning of excessive rainfall has been issued. It was cloudy in the entire state on Sunday. Moderate rainfall occurred during the day in various areas including the capital. Bikram Singh, director of the weather department, said that there may be moderate to light rain in Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh on Monday. He told that at present there is no alert of the heavy rainfall.

In the Pinder Valley of Tharali, thunderstorms and rains with strong winds have caused a huge loss to the crops in the fields. People are very worried due to continuous lightning and heavy rain in the upper areas. For the past week, there have been heavy rains every day. Farmers Balwant Singh, Bhim Singh, Bharat Singh Chandraballabh, Sharad Bhushan said that the crop that was produced after working day and night in the fields got spoiled due to rain. This has caused them financial loss.

On the rural connectivity routes of the Tehri city, it is raining heavily. Four rural roads of different areas have been closed for the last one week for traffic due to rain. On the newly constructed Chalde-Kukhai motor road, traffic has to be blocked on the way due to stones falling from the hill. The condition is the same on the Guller-Nai-Meenath road. The people there are facing many troubles due to continuous rains.
