The pandemic has affected many businesses and film industry is also amongst one, while many big producers didn't choose digital release which scared them with probable ‘losses’. Though some small producers went ahead with the digital release for a compromising price as they had to pay more interests during the wait for theatres to open, giant producers like Dil Raju hesitated in the beginning.
But with the release of film V on Amazon Prime, Dil Raju is receiving the appreciation for his smart move at right time. Dil Raju has gained a profit of 10 crores with the decision of OTT (Over the top). With digital, satellite, and Hindi dubbing rights, Dil Raju is said to have earned a sum of 46 crore rupees, while including the interests on finances he spent around 36 cores.
Above that, Dil Raju saved his expenditure of prints and publicity, which remains a sweet topping. The movie V earned mixed response and it would have been a disaster if released in theatres, that ultimately leaving the buyers hasty and Dil Raju paying them back something. So, V releasing on OTT left Dil Raju with a 10 crore profit and without adding a box office flop movie in his account.
