Court to pronounce verdict in Gyanvapi case today, Kashi turned into a cantonment

Kashi: Whether the petition in Varanasi's Shringar Gauri-Gyanvapi case will be heard further in the district court, the decision in this regard is going to come on Monday. There is a lawsuit going on here regarding the regular darshan of Shringar Gauri and the protection of Deities. Prohibitory orders have been imposed in entire Varanasi ahead of the district court's decision and security has also been beefed up. The police are treating the matter as sensitive.

Let us inform you that District Judge Ajay Krishna had reserved the order in this case on August 24 and had said to pronounce the verdict on September 12. After the order of the top court, the hearing is going on in the district court from May 23. The hearing was going on in the court on whether or not this case is maintainable under Order 7 Rule 11 of the Code of Civil Procedure (CPC). In the last hearing, the Muslim side had given arguments. Now the police administration in Varanasi has become alert regarding the decision. On Sunday, Police Commissioner A Satish Ganesh told that Section 144 (Prohibition) has been implemented in Varanasi Commissionerate. Officials have been asked to hold talks with religious leaders in their respective areas so that peace prevails.

The Commissioner of Police has said that in order to maintain law and order, the entire city has been divided into sectors, which have been allotted a police force as per the requirement. He said that instructions have also been issued to conduct flag marches and foot marches in sensitive areas. Searches have been intensified in the border areas of the district, hotels and guest houses. Social media is also being monitored. Sector scheme has been implemented. Flag marches have been ordered in sensitive areas. Along with this, foot patrolling will also be done. PRV and QRT teams will be deployed at sensitive points. The search will be done at the inter-district border. The hotel, Dharamshala and guest house will be searched. Instructions have been given for continuous monitoring on social media.

Five women had filed a petition:-

Let us tell you that 5 Hindu women had filed a petition in the district court and claimed that the idols of their religion are located on the outer wall of the Gyanvapi Masjid. He had sought permission for daily worship of Hindu deities. On this, the Anjuman Intejamiya Masjid Committee has said that the Gyanvapi Masjid is a Waqf property and has raised questions on the hearing of the petition. In this case, Madan Mohan Yadav, the lawyer for the Hindu side, had said that the mosque has been constructed by demolishing the temple. After the order of the top court, the district court is hearing the matter. Earlier a lower court had ordered a videography survey of the premises. The survey work was completed on May 16 and the report was presented in the court on May 19.

Controversy erupted over the claim of getting Shivling:-

The Hindu side had claimed in the Lower Court that a Shivling was found during a videography survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid-Shringar Gauri complex. However, from the beginning, the Muslim side, demanding not to allow the survey, was telling 'Shivling' as a fountain. After this, the Hindu side had demanded the court to seal the disputed site. The Sessions Court had sealed it. Against this order, the Muslim side moved to the apex court. Now the Supreme Court will hear this matter in the next week of October.
