Warsaw: Protesters in Poland on Monday threw red paint at Russian Ambassador Sergey Andreev, who arrived at a cemetery in Warsaw to pay tribute to red army soldiers who lost their lives in World War II. Andreev had arrived to pay floral tributes to the soldiers of the then Soviet Union at the cemetery, where a group of protesters protesting against Russia's war in Ukraine were waiting for him.
In the same video footage, the protesters can be seen throwing red paint from behind on Andreev. In it, a protester is seen throwing paint on his face. Holding the Ukrainian flag, protesters prevented Andreev and others of the Russian delegation from laying wreaths at the cemetery.

Few protesters were draped in white sheets of bloodstains, showing solidarity with the victims of Russia's attack on Ukraine. They raised 'fascist' and other slogans in front of Andrew. The liquid material, appearing to be red paint, was also thrown at others in the Russian delegation who arrived at the cemetery with Andreev. Poland police had to be called in to assist the Russian ambassador and other members of his delegation in getting out of the cemetery safely. The governments, personalities and organizations of all European countries have been opposing President Vladimir Putin's attack on Ukraine from the beginning.
