Vigilance raid on house of retired engineer, property worth 4 crores recovered

Patna: In the case of disproportionate assets, Vigilance on Sunday raided the house of retired engineer Dhananjay Mani Tiwari of Siwan, more than four crores of assets have been recovered. On February 19, Vigilance filed an FIR against the retired engineer and his wife Sanjana Tiwari in a disproportionate assets case.

After this, on Sunday, a three-story house of Dhananjay Mani Tiwari was raided in the Malviya Nagar area under the Mufassil police station of Siwan and recovered property worth more than four crores. The Vigilance team led by DSP Kanhaiyalal reached the residence of Dhananjay Mani Tiwari around 9 am Sunday and started raids which continued till late evening.

During the raid, Vigilance's team was seized documents of 2.5 crore land from Dhananjay Mani Tiwari's residence, 22 bank accounts, 10 lakh jewelry, about 5 lakh cash, SUV car, investment of around 17 lakh, and insurance documents. According to the information, K Dhananjay Mani Tiwari started a job in the Bihar government in 1993 and retired in September last year. Currently, the Vigilance team is doing its research on the basis of the income of Dhananjay Mani Tiwari during this period and is trying to find out in which way he earned more disproportionate assets.
