Dubai [UAE], September 4: Prior to Sunday's highly anticipated Asia Cup match, Bollywood stars Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday relived the India-Pakistan rivalry in major events. As the two teams kick off their Super-four round campaigns today, India and Pakistan will play each other twice during the current Asia Cup 2022.

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday discussed their favourite moments from seeing the arch-rivals compete in major tournaments in a video that Star Sports India posted exclusively on the Koo app ahead of the game.

While pointing out that the India-Pakistan match makes the country feel celebratory, Vijay also discussed the fight between Amir Sohail and Indian pacer Venkatesh Prasad at the 1996 World Cup. Ananya Panday, on the other hand, recalls the India-Pakistan matches from the first T20 World Cup, where India won both times. When it came to the fact that MS Dhoni had given the ball to Joginder Sharma in the final over of the Summit Clash, Vijay did not hold back in making his point.

Ananya Panday recalled the epic duel between former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar and Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh in the 2010 Asia Cup before settling in to watch today's game. Both teams will try to get off to a winning start in the game on Sunday in order to get an early edge in the round-robin format. When Pakistan and India play one other for the second time in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday, former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria remarked on Saturday that T20 is "anybody's" game and that Pakistan may defeat India.

"The win against Hong Kong was an important one for Pakistan for the Sunday match. The Sunday match is 50-50, its anybody's game, Pakistan can beat India on that day," said Danish Kaneria on live streaming exclusively organised by Koo app.

Afghanistan will now play Asian superpowers India and Pakistan in its remaining matches after losing to Sri Lanka.
