The team of South Star Vijay Deverakonda sent a notice today saying that some fake production companies are misusing his name and conducting auditions, and reaching out to the actresses. The statement said Vijay Deverakonda's films would be formally announced and urged fans not to believe anything.

He requested the actresses to be careful before taking any audition, and promised that they would take action against these criminals. The statement said, "We, TeamDeverakonda have noticed that few production company/ies have been fraudulently misrepresenting to be making a film with Vijay Deverakonda and have been conducting auditions and gain access to actors/actresses. Any project Vijay Deverakonda is associated with shall be formally announced by him and his producers. Official confirmation can also be verified on VDs official SM handles. While we take action against these perpetrators, we request all to be alert and double check any information in their personal best interests.”

Meanwhile, Vijay Devarakonda will next appear in Fighter directed by Puri Jagannath. The film was wrapped before the lockdown was implemented. Fighter also starred Ananya Pandey as the leading lady. For his role in the film, Vijay took mixed martial arts classes. It is being told that Vijay will be sported in six-pack abs. The film was expected to hit the big screen for release in the summer of 2020. However, the producer is about to fix the official release date after disposal of the items.
