New Delhi: IDBI Bank has declared liquor businessman Vijay Mallya as a defaulter. The bank has issued a public notice for not paying Rs 1,566 crore related to Kingfisher Airlines. Mallya's old passport size photograph is attached on this notice. In Mumbai, IDBI Bank NPA Management Group has issued a public notice regarding the willful defaulter of the now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines.

Kingfisher Airlines was a debtor and Vijay Mallya was its director and guarantor. Meaningful defaulter means a defaulter who is not willing to pay money intentionally. The notice has an old black and white photo of Vijay Mallya and his address has been given to UB Tower, Bengaluru. At present, fugitive Vijay Mallya is in London and the Indian government has started the legal process for his extradition.
