Director Atlee Kumar’s upcoming directorial tentatively titled Thalapathy 63 has now run into troubled waters as aspiring director Shiva has levelled allegations of plagiarism against the Raja Rani director.
According to the reports, Atlee has allegedly copied the story of the upcoming Vijay-starrer from a short film by the aspiring director, which is reportedly based on a women's football team. Shiva has reportedly lodged a complaint with the South Indian Film Writers' Association and the issue is expected to be taken to the court soon. The aspiring director had reportedly narrated his story to many leading producers in the Tamil cinema industry and now suspects that one among them may have leaked his idea to Atlee, who is now developing it into a full-fledged feature film.

As per an India Today report, The Writers' Unio, as cannot take up this issue forward since Shiva is a new member and as per the union's rules, a member has to be a part for at least 6 months before they can address their complaints.

Thalapathy 63 is a sports drama with Sarkar actor Vijay playing the lead role of a Tamil Nadu Women's football team's coach in the movie. Indhuja Ravichandran of Meeyadha Maan fame would reportedly be playing the captain of the team in the movie.
