Ujjain: In Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain district, an incident of stone pelting on the police has come to light. In the attack, 8 policemen have been admitted to the government hospital in Ghatiya after being injured. All these policemen had arrived for action to remove the encroachment, and suddenly the villagers got agitated and attacked.
The case pertains to the village Jhitarkhedi under the Ghatiya police station area of ​​the Ujjain district. It is being said that some people encroached on one bigha of government land in Jhitarkhedi and installed a statue there. A boundary wall was made. The Panchayat had complained about this. On Friday, the police team along with the administrative officers reached the spot and the boundary wall was broken through JCB. Till then everything was going on peacefully. After taking action, the team started returning. Only then the villagers reached unitedly and the team that went to remove the encroachment was pelted with stones. It is being told that the people of the village have beaten up the JCB driver and also tried to set the vehicle on fire. On receiving the news, when the police team reached the spot again, the villagers also attacked the police force. Many policemen ran here and there to escape. The people of the village threw stones at JCB and government vehicles. The glasses of many vehicles were broken. Eight policemen were also injured in the stone pelting.
Police said that SI PS Yadav, ASI Virendrasinh Parihar, Sursingh Bamniya, constable Arvind Yadav, women constable Sakshi, Trupti Sharma, constable Mohanlal, and two other policemen were injured due to stone pelting by villagers. All were taken to Ghatiya Government Hospital for treatment. On receiving information about the attack on the police team, heavy police force reached the spot. The police are busy nabbing the criminals. Ghatiya police station in-charge PS Yadav told that about 60 persons have attacked. Will file a case against all, identify them, and arrest them.
