The violence in Manipur is getting worse day by day. Meanwhile, shocking news has also been heard from West Imphal district of the state. The rioters lost the lives of three innocent people. In fact, an ambulance was set on fire by a mob while taking the injured child, about 8 years old, to the hospital. This led to the death of the child, his mother and another relative.   

Police officials have said that the innocent child was shot in the head during the firing. His mother and another relative were taking him to a hospital in Imphal in an ambulance for treatment. Then the crowd suddenly came forward and stopped the ambulance and set it on fire. All three died on the spot. Reports say that the painful incident took place on Sunday evening in Isoisemba.

Officials said the mob set fire to the people. They have been identified as 8-year-old Tonsing Hanging, his 45-year-old mother Mina Hanging and 37-year-old Lydia Lorembam. A senior Assam Rifles official confirmed the incident. He also said that security has been increased in and around the spot.

Reports say that  these people were living in the Assam Rifles relief camp in Kangchup. On the evening of June 4, an encounter has suddenly started in the area. Despite being in the camp, the child was hit by a bullet in the head. A senior Assam Rifles officer immediately spoke to the police in Imphal and arranged for an ambulance. Since the mother belonged to the majority community, it was decided to take the child by road to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences in Imphal. At around 6:30 p.m., civilians stopped the ambulance on the way in Isoisemba and set it on fire. All three occupants of the vehicle were killed.
