Kohli set a big record after hitting six against Chennai, became new 'Sixer King' of T20

New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have secured their sixth win of the season by defeating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 13 runs in the 49th match of IPL 2022. The heroes of Bangalore's win were the likes of Virat Kohli, captain Faf du Plessis, Mahipal Lomror and Dinesh Karthik. King Kohli scored 30 runs off 33 balls in this match. Kohli, who came to open the innings, hit three fours and a six during his innings. With a six in this match, Kohli has now become India's second sixer king.

Kohli has now become the second Indian batsman to hit the most sixes in the history of T20 cricket. In this case, he has broken the record of Suresh Raina. Earlier, Raina was the second Indian batsman to hit the most number of sixes in the history of T20 cricket. Kohli has hit 325 sixes in 319 innings of 336 matches since 2007. Former RCB and Team India captain Virat has become the 23rd player in the world to hit the most sixes in T20 cricket. Rohit is the seventh batsman in the world in this regard.

Raina has also hit 325 sixes in the same number of matches, but now Virat has overtaken him. Former India captain and world's best finisher Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who led India to two World Cup wins, has hit 310 sixes in 356 matches so far. Dhoni has now become the fourth Indian batsman to hit the most sixes in the history of T20 cricket.
