Royal Challengers Bangalore On Thursday will lock horns with the Mumbai Indians will be locking at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In the match, RCB skipper Virat Kohli will be looking to reach yet another milestone in his illustrious career.
RCB skipper stands just 46 runs away from scoring 5,000 runs in the IPL and becoming the second player to do so after Chennai Super Kings’ Suresh Raina, who achieved the feat in CSK’s opening match against RCB in Chennai on March 23.
Kohli will look forward to the landmark of scoring 5000 IPL runs when he takes the field at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru against Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians but his main concern would be to win the game as RCB’s hunt for their maiden trophy continues.
Kohli joined RCB in 2008 and since then swashbuckling batsman has shattered uncountable records in international cricket in the last couple of years. Kohli has as many as 4954 runs to his name in 164 matches in the IPL at an average of 38.10. Kohli has scored four centuries and 34 half-centuries in his IPL career and interestingly all his four tons came in the 2016 edition of the IPL, where he amassed a sensational 973 runs in just 16 matches.
