New Delhi: Cases of second wave have started declining in some states of the country, but vierologist Dr Shahid Jamil has added to the concern of the people by making a claim. He has said that the pace of decline of the second wave is much slower than the first. Dr Shahid Jamil has said that it cannot be said that we have reached the peak of the second wave, though he claimed that it may take until July to end the second wave.

The doctor claimed that the pace of decline is going to remain extremely sluggish in the second wave. Addressing an online event on Tuesday evening, Dr Jamil said it was too early to say that the corona wave was at its peak. He said that this long war against the corona epidemic is likely to last until July. We will continue to fight infections in large numbers every day, he added.

Dr. Shahid Jamil further said that 'The first wave had appeared to decline, but this time we are seeing the beginning of a decline by a large number. Today the case is not 96 or 97 thousand but more than 4 lakh, so the time will take longer. I think India's actual mortality data is completely wrong'.
