Visakhapatnam: The second wave of corona in India is wreaking havoc. There is a huge shortage of oxygen in many States. Hospitals are witnessing an acute shortage of beds, ventilators, and oxygen. Several hospitals have also refused to admit patients due to lack of oxygen. Meanwhile, a one-year-old boy infected with coronavirus is reported to have succumbed to his injuries outside the hospital.

The family members of the child kept pleading to give him the bed and lost his life. The child's mother stared at her helplessly in front of her eyes. The case is of King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam. People present said that the child had started to crave oxygen in the ambulance itself and his mother continued to beg the hospital administration to admit him, but no one listened to him and the child died.

Let me tell you that King George Hospital is the largest government hospital in Andhra Pradesh, but the situation here is equally bad. Recently, a similar case came to light in Srikakulam district where a man had to load his mother's body on a two-wheeler and take it to the crematorium due to the non-availability of a body vehicle.
