Vistara Airlines is facing scrutiny from the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) after more than 100 flights were cancelled or delayed in the past week. The MoCA has requested a detailed report from Vistara regarding these disruptions.

The airline has admitted to facing operational challenges leading to the delays and cancellations. A spokesperson for Vistara mentioned that the issues arose due to various reasons, including crew unavailability. They expressed concern for the inconvenience caused to passengers and assured that their teams are working to minimize discomfort.

To address the disruptions, Vistara has temporarily reduced the number of flights and is providing alternative options or refunds to affected passengers. They have also deployed larger aircraft on certain routes to accommodate more passengers.

The spokesperson reiterated apologies to affected customers and emphasized their efforts to stabilize operations promptly. Aviation sources attribute the situation to pilots' refusal to operate due to extended duty hours, which has prompted concerns from passengers on social media and complaints to regulatory authorities.
