Vivek Agnihotri, The director of Kashmir Files is very active on social media and shares his views on different political and film industry-related issues. He recently shares his Disappointment from Aamir Khan and Kiara Advani ads for mocking Hindu customs

The filmmaker wrote, "I just fail to understand since when Banks have become responsible for changing social & religious traditions? I think @aubankindia should do activism by changing the corrupt banking system. Aisi bakwaas karte hain fir kehte hain Hindus are trolling. Idiots."

Speaking of the ads, It begins with Kiara Advani and Aamir Khan, dressed as bride and groom, talking about how she didn't cry during her 'bidaai'. The commercial further hints at Aamir becoming a 'ghar jamai' and being welcomed by Kiara's family. Later, her dad is shown in a wheelchair and Kiara thank Aamir for doing this.

 

As soon as it catches the eyes of people they started commenting on it. On the one hand some people showered their love on ad meanwhile some shows their dissatisfaction from the ad. One user wrote, "Aamir Khan loves to do ads which mock Hindu traditions .. he will never dare talk or do any ads pertaining to Hijab, Burqua, Triple Talaq, Halala.. maintains pin drop silence on Sar Tan Se Juda." Another tweeted, "Aamir Khan, once again, mocks Hindu traditions & insult our emotions. I'm not upset by that coz it's in his DNA & his religion teaches him to insult kafirs But what's wrong with @aubankindia for mocking Hindus. Can @TambiSaurabh make similar advt on Muslims & Christians?"

Speaking of Kashmir Files was made on a budget of ₹15 crore and ended up grossing over ₹350 crore worldwide, largely due to strong word of mouth. The film, directed by Pallavi’s husband  Vivek Agnihotri, dealt with the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley over 30 years ago. The film beat out several big releases like Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, and Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj in the box office race.
