New Delhi: On April 20, Vivo is scheduled to unveil its second-generation foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 2. The main details of the upcoming handset have been revealed through leaks and tip-offs prior to its official debut.

The gadget will replace the Vivo X Fold from the previous year. The X Fold 2 could debut in other markets after its launch in China to compete with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4.

A book-like design, dual displays, and punch-hole cutouts on the outer and inner screens are all features of the Vivo X Fold 2. The device is anticipated to have an 8.0-inch main screen that is 2K AMOLED, 120Hz refresh, and HDR10+ certified. A 6.53-inch Full-HD+ screen is anticipated for the exterior. With a 50MP (OIS) primary camera and two 12MP secondary cameras, the Vivo X Fold 2's triple camera system was co-engineered by ZEISS. On the main and cover displays, a 16MP camera is anticipated for selfies.

The most recent Geekbench listing indicates that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will power the Vivo X Fold 2. The phone scored 1,809 and 5,050 points in the single-core and multi-core tests on the benchmarking platform, respectively. It is anticipated to have up to 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. The device will start up with Android 13 and a custom OS on top.
