Bangalore: The Election Commission has taken a big decision regarding the Karnataka Assembly elections. 'Vote from home' has been started in Karnataka. Under this, the Election Commission has announced the commencement of ballot paper voting in Karnataka from Saturday. This time the Election Commission has given permission for people above 80 years of age and disabled people to vote from home.

According to media reports, a five-member team of Election Commission and polling agents will visit his house and collect votes from him. This process will continue from 29 April to 6 May. The Election Commission has allowed senior citizens above 80 years of age and differently-abled voters to vote from their homes. They will be provided with ballot papers to vote in secret in their homes. Local police including two polling officers, a micro observer, a videographer and party agent will be present during the voting.

Let us tell you that the ballot voting system will be under the supervision of personnel and police personnel on election duty. After the polling is over, the ballot box will be sent to the strong room. The counting of votes will be done on May 13 and the results will be declared on the same day.
