The Election Commission has announced election schedule for the remaining 707 gram panchayats in the popular state of Rajasthan in India, where voting will take place on 15 March. Under this, this election program has been announced for 707 gram panchayats out of 1119 gram panchayats with nomination papers sealed and kept in safe custody in the first phase of sarpanches and panches.

Regarding this important vote, Election Commissioner PS Mehra said that counting of votes will be done soon after the voting on March 15. All these panchayats will hold a sub-election on March 16. He said that out of 1119 gram panchayats, there are 707 such gram panchayats which are unaffected by the notifications issued after the restructuring notification of Panchayat Raj Department from November 15-16 and the reservation of these posts is also as per earlier. There is no change in these due to reservation again.

For your information, let us tell you that Mehra further said that there are no legal hurdles in completing the election of sarpanch and panch posts of these gram panchayats, so it has been decided to complete their election process. He said that the remaining 412 gram panchayats are those who are affected by the reorganization or have not been reserved according to the previous caste or class. It was not possible for them to carry forward the program. It has been decided to withdraw the public information issued for those panchayats. It is worth mentioning that before this, the commission had conducted four phases.
