Washington D C: At least 5 people were injured in a shooting in Washington D C, following a harsh dispute between people who knew each other, according to police report. The injured included 4 men 1 woman.

The shooting took place in the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way N E. Police said that 4 of the victims ( 3 men and 1 woman) were found "conscious and breathing" and were quickly rushed to the hospital.

The incident occurred just days after a tragic vehicle attack in New Orleans on New Year's Day, which resulted in the deaths of at least 15 people and left more than a dozen others injured.

In Washington D C, police responded to the scene on Harry Thomas Way NE, where they found an adult male and an adult female who were taken to the hospital, both conscious and breathing. In addition, two other adult males were admitted at a hospital later, also conscious and breathing. A fifth person, an adult male, was confirmed to be injured. Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute between known parties.

The investigation is still ongoing, with detectives at the scene, as police continue to gather information about the incident.

A shocking quadruple shooting occurred around 11 p.m. at a residence on Purple Thistle Lane, located in a neighborhood off Harrisburg Road. Authorities from MEDIC reported that three individuals sustained life-threatening injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment. The fourth victim, who is also being treated, is said to have non-life-threatening injuries. According to the police, the suspect involved in the shooting was among the injured. The situation remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the events leading to this violent incident.

This shooting comes amidst a series of violent events, including the New Orleans vehicle attack carried out by Shamsud-Din Jabbar. The suspect drove his pickup truck through a crowd before being shot by police. An ISIS flag was discovered inside his vehicle, and two improvised explosive devices were found nearby. On the same day, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside a Trump hotel in Las Vegas, with reports indicating that the driver shot himself before the explosion occurred, injuring several people. Additionally, a mass shooting took place outside a nightclub in New York City, injuring at least 10 people.
